NG Shipyards in Lauwersoog has been appointed commercial dealer for Humphree in the Netherlands. Swedish company Humphree specialises in the development and sale of trim and stabilisation systems for commercial and recreational marine applications. These systems contribute to a more efficient ship with more comfortable sailing behaviour.
Humphree service
NG Shipyards’ service department has extensive experience with Humphree products. Thanks to the dealership, Humphree parts are always available from stock and customers can be assisted quickly, anywhere in the world (as the service team operates worldwide). For service at its own shipyard in Lauwersoog, NG Shipyards has a modern ship lift with a capacity of 220 tonnes, enabling ships to be safely and efficiently put ashore for repair and maintenance.
New built vessels
NG Shipyards is also applying Humphree products to new vessels such as the COS Master that entered service late last year. This NG Endurance-type crew tender vessel transports engineers to offshore wind farms. Thanks in part to Humphree’s systems, comfort on board is significantly higher than on comparable vessels. Managing director Albert Keizer: “We want to offer our customers the best available on the market. We look at the entire installation: what requirements must it meet and what is appropriate? We base our advice to the customer on that.”
