Fast Crew Transfer Vessel
for wind farms
The ‘Cos Master‘, ‘Cos Mate’ and ‘Cos Mariner’ are the first vessels of the Next Generation Endurance Class. These three ships have been delivered to the company Coastwise.
The design addresses the growing demand for efficient and comfortable transport of people and goods over longer distances to and from offshore wind farms. The monomaran hull shape is a unique design that combines the advantages of both a monohull and a catamaran.
The NG Endurance is suitable for operations up to 100 nautical miles offshore and can be safely deployed in extreme weather conditions and rough seas.

NG ENDURANCE
Versatile and innovative design
The NG Endurance can be fully operated and manoeuvred using single-man bridge control, with the ‘Navigator’ providing the captain with full 360-degree visibility.
The vessel is highly manoeuvrable, both at full speed and during close-quarters manoeuvres alongside another ship, a quay or a mooring post. The design ensures the safe transfer of crew and industrial personnel during ship-to-ship operations and transport to wind farms, even in significant wave heights of up to 2.5 metres.

Features and benefits
The monomaran concept enables the vessel to move smoothly through higher waves thanks to its monohull bow. The slender bow cuts through the water, making the ship more resilient in rough seas. Unlike a catamaran, the monomaran has no wet deck, which means there is no slamming, sudden impact of waves against the underside of the hull. The narrow bow also reduces pitch movement, both at high speeds and when positioning alongside a wind turbine.
The two aft floats reduce the vessel’s roll motion while also providing the benefit of a spacious deck area. All accommodation is located on the upper deck, enhancing onboard comfort and eliminating the need for stairways. The entire superstructure is fitted with soundproofing, resulting in an exceptionally quiet living and working environment for both crew and passengers.

Why choose a monomaran?
Efficient and offshore-ready
The monomaran cleverly combines stability, comfort and sailing efficiency. Thanks to its single hull and superstructure located entirely on the upper deck, this design is perfectly suited for offshore applications such as crew transfers, survey work and maintenance.
Key benefits at a glance:
- Lower resistance, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and emissions.
- Smoother sailing behaviour, offering significantly greater comfort in rough seas.
- A well-thought-out layout, providing maximum deck capacity.
- Simplified maintenance, leading to lower operational costs.
All of this makes the monomaran ideal for demanding offshore conditions, offering enhanced comfort for the crew and optimal deployability for every mission.
