NG Transporter class

With a draught of just 75–80 centimetres, the NG Transporter is ideally suited to shallow waters such as the Wadden Sea. The vessel remains fully operational during low water conditions and can berth at locations that are inaccessible to conventional ships.

The (possible) use of the new HamiltonJet LTX-36 waterjets, optimised for low speeds, results in high efficiency and excellent manoeuvrability. This makes the vessel ideally suited for frequent berthing and unberthing operations, as well as precise manoeuvres under changing conditions.

The passenger area is spacious and fitted with comfortable seating offering excellent views, contributing to an enjoyable crossing. All facilities are located on a single level, providing a clear and easily accessible layout. With no changes in floor level, the vessel is also fully accessible for passengers with reduced mobility.

By using waterjets, a lightweight aluminium hull, and a low-noise propulsion system, both noise and vibrations are minimised. This not only enhances comfort on board but also reduces disturbance to the surroundings, including in environmentally sensitive areas.
