The ferry for comfortable and fast passenger transport

The NG Transporter is designed for comfortable, safe, fast and efficient passenger transport, while minimising fuel consumption and emissions. The optimised hull, with integrated spray rails, ensures maximum comfort and minimal wake, making the vessel ideally suited for Sea Area 2 and sheltered waters. The NG Transporter is available in electric, diesel and hybrid configurations to meet a wide range of operational requirements. Its core design principles are: low draught, high efficiency, low operating costs and maximum manoeuvrability.

Designs in operation

For shipping company Frisia (DE), the Insel Express II has been built. This ferry has a length of 20.32 metres and can accommodate 54 passengers. With a draught of just 75 cm and a service speed of 19.8 knots, the vessel is perfectly tailored to the shallow waters of the German Wadden Sea. The sister vessel, Insel Express III, is currently under construction, with delivery scheduled for May 2026.

For Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten, the ferry Hiddeborg has been developed for the connection between Holwerd and Ameland. With a length of 22.82 metres, the vessel is slightly longer and has a service speed of 20 knots. The passenger area features comfortable seating, accommodates up to 75 passengers and offers a spacious layout.

On board, the accommodation is intelligently laid out with a focus on accessibility and ease of use. By positioning the propulsion system beneath the aft deck, noise and vibrations in both the passenger area and the wheelhouse are minimised, enhancing comfort for passengers and crew alike.
